A member of the Class of 1989 at St. Paul Catholic High, he helped lead the boys’ basketball team to the 1988 state championship.

It was his second time being on a state title-holding squad having been a member of St. Matthew’s parochial school champions in 1982.

At St. Paul, he was All-Hartford County and All-Northwest Conference in 1989, before going to the next level at Western New England College. He graduated from WNEC in 1993 as the men’s basketball team’s No.1 all-time three-point shooter and a two-time captain. WNEC earned an NCAA berth during his freshman year.

He’s coached Edgewood Little League, BB&GC Travel basketball and JV basketball at St. Paul.

He was the head basketball coach at Bristol Central for eight seasons before stepping down to join the school administration.

His 2003 Bristol Central boys’ varsity basketball team captured both the CCC South regular season and postseason titles, while reaching the semifinals of Class LL tournament.

As the Principal at Bristol Central, he won the national “Principal of Principles” award in 2017.
