A 1987 Bristol Central graduate, she played both soccer and softball for the school.

Softball was her main sport in pitching and earning all-conference and All-State status her sophomore, junior and senior seasons. She won a city-record 62 games during her career, which included 23 shutouts and an ERA of 1.48. She had a .376 career batting average and led the team her senior season with a .426 mark.

She was the winning pitcher when the Rams captured the 1985 state crown and was a team co-captain as a junior and captain as a senior.

She played multiple seasons as a starter in soccer in being one of the team’s best. She then chose Penn State University, where she played softball on a scholarship and served as a team co-captain her season year.

She would later serve as the associate director of the Eastern Regional Little League before being named the assistant director of the organization.

She was the first female in Little League Baseball and Softball to hold these positions.
