Bristol Central High School

He played football, basketball and baseball for Bristol Central as a member of the Class of 1988. The 1987 football team was conference champions, and Class MM runners-up. Individually that season, he was chosen all-conference and second team All-State as a safety. The basketball team his junior year were Class L runners-ups and he was named all-conference the following year. He also played two seasons of American Legion baseball.

Solid academically, he was named to the 1987 ESPN Scholastic Sports America Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll. In the fall of 1988, he began a four-year letter-winning football career at Trinity College, eventually being selected a senior tri-captain and becoming a Gold Award recipient.

He earned NESCAC and ESAC Defensive Player of the Week recognition as a senior and tied a school career mark of 14 interceptions. He went on to teach and coach at Chippens Hill Middle School.
