A man in a suit holds a plaque commemorating his induction into the Bristol Sports Hall of Fame.

A member of the class of 1982 at Bristol Central, he played both football and baseball for the Rams.

The football team in 1979  were state finalists and conference championships his senior year of 1981.

He played baseball for the Bristol American Legion and the 1983 entry captured the state title. He was an assistant coach in 1984 when the team went to the American Legion World Series.

He was on the baseball team at ECSU when they were conference champions in each of his three seasons, and was a captain his final year when the school went to the College World Series, placing third overall.

His college career batting statistics included a batting average of .380, 10 home runs, and 80 RBI in also ECSU’s 100 hit club.

 He also played for Big Dollar in the Twi-Light League, and one year of college baseball at North Carolina Wesleyan. His coaching also included Trinity College.
