She played softball in the Edgewood Little League, and sports at Memorial Boulevard School before going on to Bristol Central as a 1989 graduate. Her high school athletic career included earning all-conference honors in soccer, basketball and softball, being recognized as All-State in the latter two. She attended Yale University, where she played three seasons of softball with junior year off for reconstructive knee surgery.
In her senior season of 1993, the Bulldogs were New Haven City Series and Ivy League champions with Przygocki earning All-Ivy and Academic All-Ivy honors. Her teaching career has taken her to the UAE, India, Kuwait, Japan, Korea and back to India.
As an expatriate, she played in several Middle Eastern international softball and netball tournaments. Circa 2006, she declined an offer to play with the Kuwaiti women’s national basketball team in a Middle Eastern tournament for the retrospectively regrettable reason of not wanting to miss work.
In 2017 she joined an Australian-based softball team to participate in the World Masters Games in Auckland, New Zealand. She has recreationally cycled all over Japan, and has twice cycled the length of Korea.
As a Yale Alumni Service Corps participant, she helped organize athletic programs for kids in China, Ghana and India, ensuring that equal opportunities were offered for girls. Not only has Karin left her mark locally, but also in multiple countries as an ambassador from Bristol.
